Wilson Park is Fayetteville’s oldest and most-loved park — a 22.75-acre green space in the center of the city, famous for its whimsical hand-built Castle, a summer pool, playgrounds, and tennis. It’s a quintessential Fayetteville spot for families and photos alike.
The Castle
The park’s beloved Castle, created by local artist Frank Williams, is one of the most photographed places in Fayetteville. Set beside a spring-fed pond, it features an iron door with a dogwood flower — and a real, active natural spring flowing from it. Kids and adults alike love exploring its nooks.
Pool, Tennis & Sports
Wilson Park has a municipal swimming pool (open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day), plus six tennis courts, softball, volleyball, and basketball — making it a hub for active recreation right in town.
Playgrounds & Family Amenities
There are two playground areas — one for older kids and one for the preschool set — along with swings, a musical-play area, a paved trail, a gazebo, a greenhouse, and restrooms. Plenty for a full afternoon.
