The Siloam Springs Kayak Park is one of Northwest Arkansas’s most unique outdoor attractions — a purpose-built whitewater course on the Illinois River, and the first dedicated kayak park in Arkansas. About the Kayak Park
Built with support from the Walton Family Foundation and opened in 2014, the park transformed a stretch of the Illinois River into a series of engineered drops and features that create Class I and II rapids — lively enough to be fun and to practice real whitewater skills, but approachable for beginners. It was the first park of its kind in the state and remains a regional draw for kayakers, canoeists, paddleboarders, and tubers.
