The Tanyard Creek Nature Trail is Bella Vista’s most-loved hike — an easy, scenic loop through the woods along Tanyard and Sunshine creeks, complete with a suspension bridge and a picture-perfect waterfall. It’s a short, family-friendly outing just minutes from Bella Vista’s Town Center.
The Waterfall & Suspension Bridge
The highlight is the trail’s waterfall, especially impressive after a good rain, reached via a route that climbs toward the top of the Lake Windsor Dam. Along the way you’ll cross a fun suspension bridge over the creek — a favorite photo spot for families.
The Trail
The main loop is easy and well-marked, winding through shady woods and along the creeks — a great walk for all ages and one of the highest-rated trails in the region. Wear comfortable shoes, and expect it to be popular on nice weekends.
Cost, Parking & Location
The trail is free, with a parking lot at the trailhead. It’s less than a mile from Bella Vista’s Town Center, off Highway 340 (Lancashire Boulevard).
