The Home & Its History
While both were teaching at the University of Arkansas School of Law, Bill Clinton bought this modest brick home in 1975, and he and Hillary Rodham married right in the middle of the living room on October 11, 1975. It was the first home they shared. The house has since been preserved and interpreted for that era, giving visitors a genuinely personal look at a future president and secretary of state before the national spotlight. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2010, the same year the street out front was renamed Clinton Drive.
What to See
